Information for Administrators
professorAs college administrators, faculty and educators we all know the intense stresses our students face. Our students are often caught between competing demands and become exhausted from trying to do it all. The resulting stresses make it increasingly difficult for the modern student to mantain a healthy, happy lifestyle. When ignored this can result in eating and anxiety disorders, alcohol abuse, depression and suicide. These issues are taking a big toll on our universities, colleges and communities nationwide.

These students often show some signs of instability but they go unrecognized, are overlooked and sometimes ignored. Many universities have overextended counseling programs because they lack the funding and counselors needed to help every student.  Many graduate/certificate students are intimidated by school-run programs when it comes to sensitive issues. These students fear that sharing such problems will affect their ability to be licensed in their career path.

HMSA's Campus Assistance Program (CAP) works in conjunction with your school's counseling programs to help your students and their families address their life concerns. CAP is completely voluntary and confidential providing short-term counseling and referral services. Assistance is available immediately for students through a toll-free number or on-line chat.  Assistance is also available face to face from coast to coast.

Administrators now have a strong partner to help create a more healthy campus environment. HMSA's Campus Assistance Program (CAP) provides the necessary support to help many students cope with stress and tackle their mental health issues... creating a safer environment for all students, faculty and administrators.
